September Features: Nancy Lechuga (El Paso) plus a Special Youth-led Presentation from Jovenes/Padres Unidos: "Ending the School-to-Jail Track"
Nancy Lechuga is a poeta born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Her work is about love, cultura, spirituality, and woman blood. She is a committed educator and co-founder of mussa (mujeres unidas supporting society through art) an organization committed to art, culture, and health education. Mussa is publishing an anthology featuring poetry of El Paso/Juarez mujeres, and their experiences as women en la frontera. Nancy loves her Mexicanidad, but prefers not to label herself as anything other than just a human being. Nancy is currently working on her first children’s book and also on her most ambitious and creative project yet…a baby to be named Luna.
